All kinds of spring safety valves shall be installed vertically.

There shall be no resistance at the outlet of spring safety valve to avoid pressure.

The spring type safety valve shall be specially tested and checked for tightness before installation.

The spring type safety valve in use shall be inspected regularly.

The installation of spring safety valve shall meet the following requirements:

(l) For boilers with rated evaporation greater than 0.5t/h, at least two spring safety valves shall be installed: for boilers with rated evaporation less than or equal to 0.5t/h, at least one spring safety valve shall be installed. Spring type safety valve must be installed at the outlet of separable economizer and steam superheater.

(2) Spring type safety valve shall be installed vertically at the highest position of boiler manufacturer and header. Between the spring safety valve and the drum or header, there shall be no outlet pipe and valve for taking steam.

(3) The lever spring safety valve shall be equipped with a device to prevent the weight from moving by itself and a guide frame to limit the lever from deviating. The spring spring safety valve shall be equipped with a lifting handle and a device to prevent the adjustment screw from being screwed casually.

(4) For boilers with rated steam pressure less than or equal to 3.82MPa, the throat diameter of spring safety valve shall not be less than 25mm; for boilers with rated steam pressure greater than 3.82MPa, the throat diameter of spring safety valve shall not be less than 20mm.

(5) The sectional area of the connecting pipe between the spring safety valve and the boiler shall not be less than the sectional area of the inlet of the spring safety valve. If several spring-loaded safety valves are installed on a short pipe directly connected with the drum, the passage cross-sectional area of the short pipe shall not be less than 1.25 times of the exhaust area of all spring-loaded safety valves.

(6) Generally, the spring safety valve shall be equipped with exhaust pipe, which shall be directly connected to the safe place and have sufficient sectional area to ensure smooth exhaust. The bottom of the exhaust pipe of the spring safety valve shall be provided with a drain pipe connected to the safety place. It is not allowed to install valves on the exhaust pipe and drain pipe.
